Eighteen children to start with the second edition of the Jump 18 project

Recently, the second group of the Jump 18 project held its introductions at the YMCA Dakota. Jump 18 is a project that was launched last year in order to show children and their families how to live a healthier life, and how to involve other families as well. A total of 18 children joined for this second edition, and in just 6 months they will be able to look back at their first steps to living a healthier life.

According to case manager Noëmi Haddocks, during this Jump 18 ‘kick-off’, the content of the project will be explained and the participants are introduced. This day served to explain that there are days for doing exercises, days during which experts will explain topics, and more. It also served to get the participants hyped up for the 6 months to come.

TEAM JUMP 18
Jump 18 consists of a fairly large group including Dr. Jamiu Busari, Amy van der Linden, Samantha Schwengle, Alexandra Mendoza, Paola Tello, and Monique Bagheri. They are being supported by Nichole Kock, Godelinde Lauffer, Noemi Haddocks, Sandira Bislip, Lyanne Maduro, Fleur de Groot, Robert Dijkhoff, Myron Ras, Juliandrah Rodriquez, Anna Cellia Proveyer, Indra Ras-Flanegin, Joanne Werleman, and Yxselle Giel.

TRAJECTORY
This project has a 6-month trajectory. On Saturday the children and their parents have to meet with a dietitian, the case manager, and a doctor. During the week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday they will be doing fun exercises that will not only get them moving but also educate them on how to properly continue these exercises on their own in the future.
