The International Functional Fitness Masters World Championship Aruba 2022 will be taking place this weekend with Tropical Bottling and Aruba Tourism Authority as the main sponsors.
Starting on the 18th of November until the 20th, the best Crossfit athletes will be competing to be the fittest athlete for the year 2022.
According to Will Erasmus, Functional Fitness Federation Aruba representative, this event will take place together with IF3, or the International Federation of Functional Fitness, who created the opportunity to organize the Masters in Aruba.
According to Erasmus, many people know this sport as Crossfit, but the name of the actual sport is functional fitness, which entails weightlifting, running, gymnastics, and basically a bit of everything. The idea behind it is to figure out who is the fittest person in the world.
The event itself will be taking place in various locations on the island. There are a total of 275 international athletes coming to Aruba just for this event, as well as 10 local participants who will be fighting for the title. We hope everyone will come to cheer the athletes on!
