Residents displeased with DOW: dirty water from Bubaliplas entering homes

The situation in Bubali and San Miguel is getting severe. Residents in these areas are distraught and claim that the issue with the water is becoming a public health risk. They claim that the government is just sitting idly by and hoping the problem will resolve itself.

It has been a month already that the filthy Bubali Plas water has slowly been creeping across the street and into their homes. According to residents in the area, there are also a lot of mosquitos and other animals that are dangerous to their health and well-being.

Since the heavy rainfall, the water in Bubali Plas has flooded so much that it is even entering their homes. Neighbors are preoccupied, and their worries are not being acknowledged, as they keep calling to no avail.

Apparently, the situation has never been this severe before. Usually, when it rains this much, DOW comes to open a canal for the excessive water to escape. However, this year that does not seem to be the case, so instead of the water flowing into the ocean, it has no other option but to escape the other way. It has been crossing Sasakiweg and reaching the homes on the other side of the road. Residents are urging DOW to listen to their pleas and resolve the issue.
