Evelyn Wever-Croes: government fears damages if the hotel in Sero Colorado does not continue

In case the owners of the Secrets Hotel opt to not continue with their project in Sero Colorado, this could have serious consequences. Now the government is awaiting the judge’s verdict, but either way, there are consequences for Aruba, and we will have to wait and see who will be responsible. The government now fears damages, but hopes that the project can continue.

Evelyn Wever-Croes, Prime Minister, indicated that the decision to halt the project could be detrimental. The extent of the damages is not yet clear, but the government is preparing for any outcome. They hope that it does not get so far, which is why they are putting in extra effort to prevent the halting of the project.

This project was granted all its legal permits and if it is terminated, someone must stand responsible for all costs.

Those who misused the opportunity are the ones who must take responsibility, which might be difficult in this situation. For now, the government will await the judge’s verdict on the matter, and afterward further measures will be taken. Let us hope, for the government’s sake, that the project can continue.
