An accident occurred on the sharp turn on the way to the Lighthouse, right after Arashi. Here, the driver of a blue Subaru swerved off of the road and into the bushes on the side of the road, taking the traffic sign down as well. The police were passing by and when the people in the Subaru saw them, they tried to make a run for it. An officer managed to get their hands on one of the three individuals, and colleagues quickly came to give a hand.
The other two individuals ran in the direction of the ocean. A search was started but there was no sign of them. The one detainee was transported to the police station and he quickly confessed that his friend ‘Pedro’ was the one driving at the time of the crash. There was an icebox filled with alcohol inside the vehicle, which is likely why they all tried to flee.
The police confiscated the Subaru. Eyewitnesses informed the police of having seen the other two individuals who fled earlier. According to our sources, the two other individuals had gotten inside another blue vehicle and abandoned the scene.
