On Monday morning, the police were called to Playa Pabou in front of the Community Center to tend to an injured person. According to our sources at the scene, the driver did not see the cyclist and accidentally hit him, causing injuries.
This occurred at approximately 6:20 a.m. when the driver of a white minivan was approaching the crosswalk and accidentally hit the pedestrian. An ambulance was called to the scene to tend to the victim, who was in need of medical care.
The driver explained that he did not see the cyclist as he suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle. The ambulance was able to tend to the victim at the scene and it was not necessary to transport them to the hospital.
