Many jellyfish along the southern coast of Aruba

In the morning, many people contacted our editorial team about a peculiar situation. In our waters, especially in the waters south of Aruba, there are many jellyfish.

They are found from the waters near Palm Island to the area around the German ship Antilla. Those who enter the sea need to be careful because a jellyfish sting can cause quite a bit of harm.

If you enter the sea and get stung by a jellyfish, seek the necessary medical help by going to a doctor or the emergency department (hospital). It’s important to try to avoid being stung by these creatures.

While they are fascinating, elegant, and mysterious to observe in the water, a jellyfish looks less remarkable when pulled out of the water and becomes a blob. This is because a jellyfish is about 95 percent water.
