Artistic Swimming Triumphs in Fort Lauderdale

The artistic swimming delegation returned to Aruba very satisfied with their participation in the artistic swimming competition at the Carifta Games 2024.

The Carifta Championship is a championship that includes swimming and took place in the Bahamas. However, the swimming part of the competition had to move to Fort Lauderdale because, in the Bahamas, no pool meets the specifications of such a championship, such as length and depth. That’s why the entire artistic portion took place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

There were 3 Junior categories with 6 youth participants in one and 7 in the other, and the team brought back 30 medals with participation from Canada, the United States, Jamaica, Ecuador as the visiting country, the Virgin Islands, and Aruba.

This year’s Aruban selection will participate in various high-level championships, such as the Pan American and Junior World Championships, which will be held in Colombia. The idea is that these results will provide them with the opportunity to participate in higher-level championships to help them grow as athletes and in their achievements.

We are grateful to the parents of the children for their support and encouragement and take this opportunity to ask for more support from the government to participate at the international level.
