A major raid took place in KIA, once again, and usually either drugs or cellphones are found. This time the raid targeted a suspected drug dealer in KIA.
The inmate is serving a prison sentence for a quantity of weapons and drugs confiscated in a raid in the Madiki area some years ago. In KIA, he is suspected of running a drug business. He was receiving and dealing drugs in prison. During the night, a raid was conducted on a single wing, and several illegal items were confiscated.
The inmate related to the drug business in KIA was also taken into custody. He was taken to a police station where he remains detained pending interrogation. The Narcotics Team is handling the case and does not rule out further arrests. For drugs to enter KIA, there must also be cooperation from staff who make this possible.
