Just a few minutes past midnight on King’s Day, residents were awoken by a raging fire in Zwollestraat and Caya Tilburg.
The smoke penetrated people’s homes, causing several to wake up from their slumber and alert the authorities. Some residents even evacuated the area because they could no longer bear the smell of smoke that was penetrating their homes, even with their windows closed.
The fire was dangerously close to a house, prompting two firefighting units to rush to the scene to extinguish the flames.
The residents thanked the firefighters for their excellent work and the record time they arrived on the scene.
