At around 3:30 am, police were present at the roundabout near Fatum in Eagle for an accident.
Here, the driver of a white jeep merged onto the roundabout without paying attention, and collided with a taxi driver who was already on the roundabout. She did not yield as required, resulting in her vehicle hitting the rear of the taxi.
Police apprehended the driver, who was found to have exceeded the legal alcohol limit.
Police transport also arrived to take the driver to the police station, where she was brought before a prosecutor to answer for her negligent behavior in traffic and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Road service was at the scene to collect accident data. Luckily, the material damage was minimal.
