Daily occurrence: several neighborhoods without power once again

Yesterday at around 7:30 pm, the power went out in several neighborhoods in the Paradera district. NV ELMAR reported the power outage in the neighborhoods of Cumana, Tanki Leendert, Papaya, Nuñe, Sero Patrishi, and Sero Blanco, to be specific.

For some neighborhoods, this is the second consecutive day without power. Clearly, they are not satisfied with the level of service from our national power distribution company. This is apparently a residual issue caused by the helium balloon that got stuck in the power lines, causing the security system to activate and cut off power.

Unfortunately, this is seemingly becoming a daily issue where there are power outages in different neighborhoods. Technicians insist that it’s not always their fault, the public has to understand that external incidents such as cars hitting streetlights or balloons getting stuck in their system are out of their hands. Placing these power cables underground would be ideal, but it is a costly process which NV ELMAR cannot afford at the moment.
