The Aruba Food & Beverage Association (AF&BA) is launching a virtual job fair on November 5th & 6th to help job seekers connect with local businesses looking to hire. The initiative aims to make finding employment easier while giving companies a convenient way to recruit new employees.
According to AF&BA CEO Miriam Dabian, the online platform, jobfairaruba.com, launched on October 22, with interview bookings opening on November 5.
Through the platform, job seekers can register their personal information and upload their resumes if they choose. Once registered, they will receive an email granting them access to the virtual fair, where they can explore job openings and connect with participating employers.
The website will feature virtual booths representing different businesses. Visitors can browse available positions, learn more about potential employers, and identify opportunities that match their interests and qualifications.
One of the main features of the virtual job fair website is the opportunity to schedule interviews directly with employers. Interviews will take place between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with appointments arranged in 20-minute time slots. Each interview is expected to last approximately 15 minutes.
In addition to employment opportunities, the event will provide access to educational institutions and government services.

The University of Aruba and EPI will participate by offering guidance to individuals interested in continuing their education, exploring training programs, or improving their professional skills.
DIMAS will also be present to answer questions about work permits. Visitors who need information about the application process or related requirements can schedule a 10-minute consultation.
AF&BA also wants to ensure that people without access to digital devices or reliable internet connections are not excluded. The association plans to provide assistance to individuals who do not have a computer, smartphone, or internet access, allowing them to participate in the event.
Dabian explained that the initiative is intended to make recruitment more efficient for businesses while opening up additional employment opportunities for residents.
Job seekers who are unable to book an interview in advance will still have an opportunity to participate. During the fair, they can enter the platform and check the virtual booths for available interview slots. A green indicator will appear when an appointment becomes available, allowing visitors to take advantage of openings.
By combining job vacancies, direct contact with employers, educational guidance, and information about work permits, the virtual job fair aims to provide a convenient and accessible way for people in Aruba to explore new career opportunities.
