Last week, the Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) met with swimming coach Peter Andrews, who was in Aruba with his son, American Olympic gold medalist Michael Andrews. Peter Andrews also coaches TEAMARU swimmer Mikel Schreuders, who is currently training under his guidance at his base in Hawaii as part of his preparation for the 2026 Games.
The meeting focused on Schreuders’ current training program and the tools being used to improve his swimming technique. Andrews explained that he applies various data analysis methods to evaluate performance and adjust the training plan. This approach allows him to design a more targeted program aimed at maximizing Schreuders’ potential across the different events he competes in.
The Aruban Olympic Committee (COA) thanked Andrews for his commitment to supporting Schreuders’ development and for his continued cooperation in helping raise the performance level of the TEAMARU athlete.
