Clients with debt can get a payment arrangement at DIMP

Tax Department (DIMP) made lots of changes these last five years. They are working more with a digital system and all of this for the clients’ comfortability, giving them an easier way to comply with their obligations.

“We have known many changes in the last five years and a half. We have digitalized many of our services to facilitate the taxpayer to pay,” Luenne Pieters, director of DIMP, said in a comment to 24ora.com.

A the same moment, she must admit that “things do not go smoothly all the time. Some taxpayers call and say that no one answers the phone, or they send a mail and no one replies. But these are things we take seriously. We do not ignore “feedback.” But we want to stand for what is correct and what is true. If a taxpayer has a complaint, do this at DIMP, where we can do something with the information received. If a department or a worker fails, we will deal with this internally,” the director emphasized.

“It is easy for someone to say that they have confiscated a house or a car, but DIMP gives the taxpayer different chances to reach an agreement. Make use of the opportunity to attend to your debt because doing nothing is not an option,” she said.
