It seems as if the police Gregory E. Wouters has more explaining to do now that he has handed in his police report, of which the evidence shows a complete another story. This caused the victim’s family to question the integrity of Aruba’s Police Force and the entire judicial system.
Their defense lawyer, together with a forensic team for the US, noted that the incident on February 19 was a simple case of a drunk driver, but the police tried to kill her and then did not tell the truth on paper. There is a chance that the suspect could soon become a victim!
To justify his actions for firing shots towards the driver, the police said that the driver wanted to hit him with the car, so he shot the hood. But investigations show that that was impossible. Instead, the police fired shots during the persecution or when the vehicle had already been pulled over, and he shot from the back. All bullets entered the car through the end and the side of the car. The police fired shots from the side while the driver was already injured, and the final shot fired went in and out her throat.
