During a voting session in the first official parliamentarian meeting, the new president of parliament was chosen.
This process had to be done twice before the governor could be selected. This same procedure was also done to select the parliament’s vice president.
20 parliamentarians voted for this new president. 11 of them voted for Edgar Vrolijk, while Marisol Lopez-Tromp received 9 votes.
