Yesterday on the 17th of January, members of Parliament, Arthur Dowers and Mike de Meza delivered a letter to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in which they asked a series of questions relating to the Prime Minister’s action against the irregularities in Arubahuis. One of the letters mentions the ‘overbruggingstoelage’ (bridging allowance) which the Plenipotentiary Minister at the time reportedly misused and also accused the Prime Minister of abuse of power.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office reacted to the letter this morning and confirmed that the Prime Minister indeed filed an official complaint against the suspected irregularities in Arubahuis relating to the ‘overbruggingstoelage’ and accusations. The Office referred to the legal process following the complaint.
