Friday night a report came in that a tourist became ill on a catamaran, right in front of MooMba Beach.
It turned out that the tourist in question was heavily intoxicated, causing them to fall and hit their head, losing consciousness. This caused quite the panic as many people onboard feared the worst.
The report gathered at the scene indicates that the incident took place at Arashi and the boat ended up at the Hadicurari pier, behind MooMba Beach.
The Noord police arrived at the scene along with an ambulance to provide first aid to the tourist.
Luckily the situation did not have the dire outcome that some onboard feared. Such a case of alcohol intoxication could have had fatal consequences.
