Thursday morning, the police had their hands full with a chase in Noord. It all occurred when police gave the driver of a Nissan March the signal to stop, which the driver then promptly ignored. Instead, they floored it out of there, starting a police chase. At one point, the driver thought he had given the police the slip.
A little while later, however, he realized he was wrong when the police managed to catch up to him and detained him immediately. At first, authorities suspected that the driver of the March was in possession of either a weapon or drugs, but when they inspected the situation further, that turned out not to be the case.
Various police units aided in the chase, and in the end, the suspect was transported to the police station. There, he will have to present in front of a persecutor, who will determine his fate.
