On Monday, our news site brought attention to residents’ growing concerns about Aruba’s persistent illegal dumping problem, this time highlighting a site behind the Aruba Correctional Institution (KIA).
The situation was particularly concerning because the illegal dumping was taking place in a tourist area, raising further concerns about the island’s cleanliness and appearance.
Following our report, the Bureau City Inspector acted swiftly. On Tuesday morning, its team visited the area and immediately took action to have the site cleaned up.
We would like to commend the City Inspector’s Office for its prompt response and for turning these concerns into concrete action. Thanks to this quick intervention, the area has now been cleaned up.
This is how public concerns, when brought to attention and followed by action, can make a difference in keeping Aruba clean and beautiful for everyone.
